[pLog-svn] Roadmap/performance

Hi there,

we're currently evaluating Lifetype 1.02 and the HEAD of the
SVN-Repository. Is there a roadmap/specification for the upcoming 1.1
release? I'm not yet sure if we should wait for 1.1 to start our weblog
service. What I know is that 1.1 has some performance improvements
(memory usage and cache) as well as some kind of authentication module
for third party authentication.

Our current system uses ubb.threads (http://www.ubbcentral.com) and
patUser (http://www.php-tools.net) for authentication. So we'd like to
create new plugin, similar to the phpBB one.

As this is only possible with 1.1, we'd prefer to stick to the 1.1
branch if your release schedule - if there's any - matches with our time
plans. We're looking forward to release this in the next 3-4 months.

We'd like to contribute our changes/modifications/enhancements back to
the projects instead of maintaining a heavily modified version ourself.
If you'd appreciate that, I'd like to discuss our feature requests with
you. If we can agree on a specification and if we're able to implement
them with your still limited knowledge of the code base, we'd to help you.

Our biggest concern is the performance and scalability of the software.
Any input on this is really appreciated. We want to start with a small
beta test group with about 15-25 users/blogs. Second phase would be to
make this available to all our registered users (~17000). Depending on
the popularity, we're expecting between 100-600 active blogs within the
first three months.

Do you think that 1.0.2 can handle this and can you provide me some
details about the hardware used for this kind of installation?

regards,
Christoph
