How do you do the authentication for svn? It would be a manual
process, but if you have authentication set up the way I have on my
computer, you could manually mark the tags directory as read-only. I
don't know if it that is worth much - as long as people just know what
they are supposed to do.

Oh - I missed the fact that it is a beta. You mean you think we
don't write perfect code?? (:

Yes. I was thinking about whether it would be easier to merge
more often, rather than one huge merge every six months? It seems like it
would be less of a monster, if we had little increments.
