Yo can try IE8's own developer tools (press shift-f12) . The problem happend when you put the html string to innerHTML and brower( ie, firefox, opera, safari, chrome) will parse them to DOM tree.

I most case, it should be no problem. But when u insert object tags, it will remove all param tags and mess up the html codes.

I try several ways to work around this bug, no luck ....

I also try to use the DOM method to build the DOM tree, still no luck ...

There are still several ways I want to try ...

If all of them fail, I will consider revert to regular expression method.
Ah good. So, it works fine with Firefox 3.6? I'll need to take a look with IE. Is there a firebug type extension for IE? I always find it a pain to debug things in IE.

Jon, I made an error and I am sincerely sorry. It turns out it was my
local caching proxy. When I had encountered the issue and read the
couple of messages about the plugin on this list, I thought this may
have been a global issue.

Thanks to everyone for the new release!
Are you talking about tinymce 3 or 2? Our version of TinyMCE2 doesn't
work with any recent version of firefox.

What doesn't work with tinymce - our plugins, or the whole thing?
Tinymce fails with Firefox 3.6.13 in conjunction with IE8; of the two I
have tested.
Actually, Tinymce 3 has no problem with IE 6,7,8. But, the plugins we
developed do has problem with IE 6,7,8.

I am still try to figure it out, I just can say the problem is because
the implement of innerHTML in IE 6,7,8. IE will mess up the html if we
use DOM to parse the object code instead of regular expression.

I almost find way to workaround, but still need more some time to see
how to put them into the new plugins.
What are the problems and are they the same across IE releases
- I don't have a way to test 6 or 7. I haven't heard any
complaints from my IE 8 users. And in any case, the
previously released version of lt/tinymce doesn't work either,
so we are better off with this version.
