As you probably know, we have been using LifeType for quite a long time, and we even donated to the project. And we have a somehow big implementation running on it http://blogs.albawaba.com
. The problem is that we started in a very ad hoc manner, and now we have a big pile of hacked code on the service. As we are continuously developing this service, we decided to rewrite most of the code to become LT1.2
compatible and hopefully make our changes clean.

How open are you guys for us to contribute our changes back to the project? For example we have the following features, which we would like to share in the future once we clean them up:

- Private templates
Templates that don't show for the public. Only administrators can assign this template to some blogs

- Domain name support
We just finished the support for people to have their own domain names instead of some pattern naming scheme

We have also rewritten most of the language files. We did a usability test, and I think we have better "labels" than the original project. We're more than happy to contribute as much as we could. In fact, we can assign one full time employee to work on the project for a decent amount of time, and share everything with you.
