Good that you had a look at this, I had lately only focused on
specific tests and neglected the whole suite...

About the UI tests, I think we can forget about them. They were just
an attempt to automate user interface testing but the outcome was too
cumbersome... One of the items in my TODO list is to have a look at
Selenium one day for automating UI testing, perhaps you can have a
look at it yourself.

I will have a look at the remaining failing tests, but as far as I
remember they were working fine when I developed them a while ago...
