With regards to this, I have been able to reproduce it but the issue  
is not related to tinymce or the 'more' plugin.

There was a very old bug fixed long ago that caused LT to append the  
"[@more@]" separator to a post even if there was no extended text.  
When you load one of these posts, this tag is actually there as the  
last thing in the post text (check it in the database and you will  
see), and nothing else after it. This is why it only happens with old  
posts only and not with new ones.

I don't see this as a bug, by the way.
