this is interesting, thanks. i tested on WinXP/FF and IE6. same results.

BUT: this is not what we (oscar?) see as a problem. the testcase would be
to call http://jon.limedaley.com/plog/test.php and this redirects the url
to the real path of the file
http://jon.limedaley.com/plog/gallery/1/previews/1-10.jpg. Doing the same
thing with data, the browser does not display inline, but opens a download
box, the filename would be 1-10.jpg (at least i'd expect it to be so).
