Oh, yes, that was neat when you showed us that a bit ago. It

It is worse than that, because there is a rule for every image (if
I understand what pwestbro was suggesting)
RewriteMap is interesting, particularly in the non-plain-text
method, ie. with an external program, (checks mysql?) or the dbm format
(says it is optimized for many rules). Also the results are cached by
Apache (only the dbm method), so it should be pretty fast.
I wonder if we could try it out with some of these people who have
really restrictive hosts, and see if all this is enabled for them? You
can't put it in an .htaccess, but only in the virtualhost section - can
people with restrictive hosts do that through cpanel or something?
