But, are you turning off the cache for the right page?  Don't need to not 
cache /summary.php?op=editPosts instead of the login page?  I might be 
misunderstanding which part is actually getting cached.

You just want to make sure to cache things when you can, and not turn off 
too much caching.

The funny thing is, I do all of my web browsing via a proxy server, and I 
haven't ever seen this problem.
