Hello,
    The validate trackback plugin could cause trackback processing to  
take a long time.  A while ago, I limited the timeout for fetching  
the page to 15 seconds.  This number could be changed to something  
smaller.

    Ideally, there would be a user configurable option for setting  
this timeout.
