Hi:

There are two parameters about the articles shows in summary or not:

1. show_in_summary: it is a blog-wise parameter. It only take into account
in our search-engine, but we never take this parameter into account when we
build the summarystats.

2. in_summary_page: it is article-wise parameter. But there is no place to
turn on or turn off this parameters in each different articles.

So, what is our original design about these two parameters?

I just suppose:

1. We need to add a check box in article to allow user to enable/disable
this parameter in_summary_page (the default value comes from
show_in_summary)

2. We need to modify the summary stats to take these two parameter into
account at the same query (including user_list, blog_list, recent_articles,
readiest_articles ... etc)

I'll also suggest:

1. add in_summary_page to resource, too. Because maybe we will put the
recent update resource list in our summary someday future.

Any ideas?

BTW, There are two things need to implement or discuss:

1. I remember someone suggest we change our allowed extension as "white
list" long time ago , it is easier for admin to control the upload file
type. Are we still want to do this?

2. Database session handler: I remember we discuss this before in forum. And
our answer is we will change it in 1.1.... Are we still want to do this?

Mark
