I would imagine the current plan is to do like we did for 1.0.1,
that everything will get merged once 1.0.2 is out. But, I know what you
mean, that it would be nice to check out 1.1, but you don't want to
"downgrade" all the features/bug fixes of 1.0.2.
It is definitely the wrong thing to migrate some of the changes
from 1.0.2 to 1.1. I imagine that makes it difficult to merge everything
later.
I think if we kept track of the date/revision of the merge, we
could merge over everything in 1.0.2 up to now to 1.1, and then get the
rest of 1.0.2 when it is released.
I have thought that the longer I stay on 1.0.2, the quicker it is
likely for 1.0.2 to come out, since I will have extra motivation to get
things done.
