[pLog-general] Auto Join (core) Blog During Register

Hi,
I thought there was a plugin or feature to let all new users who
register automatically become a member of the core blog (1st blog
created) or a specified blog id from admin.  I think I was remembering
another blog engine.. 
 
Either way, can someone direct me or offer input on how best to do this?
A Plugin?  
 
Ideally you would have the following:
 
-          plog admin configures which blog to be used as the core blog
that users get access to after joining.  This blog acts as a hub, a
collaborative blog and helps with social networking features and helps
glue all the hosted blogs/users together without much need to manually
assign users to the blog.
-          After reg, and when the user logs in, they are shown the core
blog and their newly created blog in the dashboard.  
 
I don't think a plugin would be necessary since it is only a few changes
to plog that are needed.
